The Cragmont Fund - Week One Update

Updated: Sep 22, 2019

We’ve achieved just over 10% of our $100,000 Cragmont Fund goal - that’s around $1 per minute! This vital fund helps to maintain the current level of programming at Cragmont.  A MILLION THANKS to everyone who has already donated and/or returned the purple form sent home last week. We are aiming for 100% participation school-wide so please complete and return the purple forms to school in your child’s backpack. You do not need to donate to participate - though we are grateful for every penny raised for our students. In the past we’ve received donations from $1 up to $10,000!

Please give what you can. DONATE HERE If you didn’t receive the Cragmont Fund purple form, please ask your teacher for a copy. Remember, each classroom is in the running to win a class party if all of the purple Cragmont Fund forms are returned.  Cragmont is a unique place of learning for our children in this age of statewide budget cuts. Thanks to our generous community of supporters, we have the power to raise funds to keep programming alive such as; a Full-time Art Teacher, a Family Engagement Coordinator, the Music Program, the Dance Program , the Garden Program, Vital disaster preparation supplies, After-school Enrichment Program, Scholarships for Enrichment classes, Kindergarten bilingual singing/music, MOSAIC Project, our experiential diversity, empathy and conflict resolution initiative, Classroom supplies for every grade, Community events such as Dia de los Muertos, Winter Faire, Lunar New Year, and Black History Month, and new this year - a small fund for special education supports and a math interventionist. The suggested donation amount is $425 per student or $36 monthly, but please be more generous if you are able. If you are an incoming TK/K family, please consider giving the amount of one more month of your preschool tuition or even more! If possible, please maximize your donation through corporate matching gift programs. Every dollar matters.  Studies have found that when public schools raise more money, they are able to give their students a better education. Our PTA supports that fact by reaching high for the sake of our children.   GO DRAGONS!

Best,

Your Cragmont PTA
